Decanted for 2 hours, slightly less than room temperature
Consumed at home with husband
This wine is inoffensive, sweet, and a bit astringent (puckers the mouth a bit), cherry notes. I find it has the same beginning and end. Fairly light, fine for drinking alone or with foods. My first reaction was "watered down wine". It's OK.
Of course the more I drink it the more it grows on me - doesn't happen every time!

Winemaker's Notes: Grão Vasco Dão Red is a medium intensity ruby coloured wine, characterised by the primary aromas of the grapes from which it is made, such as plum and black cherry, with some balsamic notes. On the palate it is a wine of great elegance and smoothness, with good fresh acidity, smooth and rounded tannins and a medium intensity palate aroma in which fruit prevails. The result is a remarkably balanced whole, with a clean finish of medium persistence. Touriga Nacional, Tinta Roriz, Jaen, Alfrocheiro, Tinta Pinheira |
